A Little History of Intant and Childrens High Chairs
Since little is known about the invention of high chairs, we all recognize the necessity of proper seating for infants and children. Here is some history tidbits on high chairs. On Feburary 28th of 1880 a patent was granted to Joseph W. Kenna for a high chair and carriage for children according to The Federal Reporter. Four years and four days ealier, Feb. 28,1876 it is reported by the Museum of Florida History a patent was issued for a high chair and stroller combination.
