The motto of the Scania R-series is "premium quality, down to the finest detail." The driver's cab is designed to be fully functional and polished off with a finish that keeps it looking new. Of all the Bruder, Profi series trucks, the Scania is quickly becoming the main feature of the brand.

The attention put into the detail of the cab beautifully illustrates the reason for this. Its attention to detail is remarkable; the included windscreen was made using polycarbonate guaranteed not to break. It was designed to be used in conjunction with the light and sound module.

With folding mirrors and doors that can actually be opened, it feels like more than just a toy. Loading and unloading the truck is as simple as using the wheel mechanism to empty two bins at once. This also works on the refuse container thanks to the included support console, built to be flexible.

The dumping process is enabled by pushing the waste bins into the support console and them emptying the waste into the trough thanks to the built in mechanism designed for lifting. During the process of turning the wheel, the crushing mechanism captures the waste, compresses it and promptly sends it to the pit. This entire process can be watched through the inspection window.

The refuse bunker's upper handle can be used to tip it over quickly and easily. When the handle is turned, the refuse is discharged and automatically moved backwards. The discharge moves past the loading/unloading unit and ends up on the outside of the garbage truck. Optional additions to the truck are one large and three small bins (not included in the purchase.)

Meant to be used by children four and older for outdoor and indoor play, the Scania R-Series Garbage Truck is not suitable for any child less than 36 months of age due to its small parts, which present a choking hazard. Made by Bruder, this toy is 1:16 in scale. Figure compatible, it is made of ABS and other high quality plastics.
